Mission Month of October 2017: Today is World Mission Sunday everywhere in our church. Our church is celebrating together, praying together and also sharing what we can with young churches who consist of 40 % of the whole church. The money donated will go to support churches, hospitals, schools and vocations where the church is new and will be distributed on the basis of need. We invite your prayers and generosity and thank you for your extraordinary generosity to the missions over many years.

Ballyea Youth Choir – Concert in Aid of the Children’s Grief Centre

Members from Clarecastle Ballyea Youth Choir and Celtic Ensemble are preparing for a concert in aid of the Children’s Grief Centre located in Limerick reaching out to young people suffering loss supporting them through Art and Play therapy in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

Symbols of Hope, Love and Friendship to name a few will be presented at the above churches the weekend of October 14th and 15th to create awareness in a sacred space,

Members of Londubh Youth Choir and Celtic Ensemble will be available after mass to meet with the congregation and tickets for the Concert December 3rd in Clarecastle church will be available to purchase,

Adult tickets €20 and under 18 years €8.

World Mission Sunday is in two weeks’ time! Please remember that in two weeks’ time, the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection, the Mission Sunday collection. World Missions Ireland is the Holy Father’s official charity for overseas mission and is responsible for coordinating Mission Sunday in Ireland. All of the Mission Sunday materials are available on World Missions Ireland’s website – www.wmi.ie.

Thursday 12 October: 6.00pm – 7:15pm ‘Mind Your Mental Health’, with John McElhinney. Mental Health Ireland Development Officer.

All events are free and take place at SONAS, Chapel Lane, Ennis.

Tax Back Scheme for Eligible Charities

Tax Back Scheme for Eligible Charities – Our Parish is an Eligible Charity within above Scheme. All donations of €250 and over from both PAYE Tax Payers and Self-employed Persons now qualify for a Tax Refund of 31%.This Tax Refund can now only be claimed by a qualifying Charity. In 2014 a Tax claim form was completed by many eligible Parishioners and this form extends for a five year period. We have now sent out a Tax Claim form to all Parishioners who are eligible this year or may not have returned the completed form in 2015. We would urge you to return it before the 20th October deadline. We sincerely thank all of you our Parishioners for your continued generous donations to our Parish and your diligent completion of the necessary forms to enable us reclaim this Tax which now forms a very important part of our annual income.

The annual Novena to Matt Talbot praying for all suffering or sharing in the life of addictions begins this Monday at 7.30pm in St. Senan’s Church Kilrush and on Tuesday at 7pm in SS. John & Paul Church Shannon. The preacher this week will be Fr Fergal O’Neill CC Portroe.
