“That people today, often overwhelmed by noise, may rediscover the value of silence and listen to the voice of God and their brothers and sisters.”

In the ‘Sound of Silence’ we are better able to listen to and understand ourselves; ideas come to birth and acquire depth; we understand with greater clarity what it is we want to say and what we expect from others; and we choose how to express ourselves. In silence we can meet our God. The gospels tell us that Jesus often went to a ‘quiet place’ to pray – we will enrich our lives by finding that ‘quiet place’ for ourselves.
