Fr. Tom joined our parish and the Abbey Pastoral Area on the 1st October, 2021. Fr Tom is no stranger to the parish , in the past while ministering in Ennis Community College he did weekend ministry in the parish. A native of Doonbeg, Fr Tom studied for the priesthood in St Patrick’s College, Carlow and was ordained a priest in Doonbeg in June 1983.  After Ordination, his first appointment was as curate in Sixmilebridge and in 1987 he was appointed to then Ennis Vocational School , later to become Ennis Community College where he worked for 19 years.

In 2006 he became Parish Priest of Newmarket-on-Fergus and for the past 15 years he has given very faithful service to that parish.

Fr Tom resides in the presbytery at 3 The Woods, Cappahard, Tulla Road.
